Developing a Risk Management Framework
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency is hosting a training workshop for customs officials from Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, and Vietnam on November 3-6,2008 at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam.
U.S. Government officials and representatives of U.S. companies will participate in this event by sharing case studies and best practices with attending Southeast Asian customs officials who are tasked with modernizing their countries customs infrastructure. U.S. company representatives may attend simply as a participants as well.
This workshop is part of The Global Customs Initiative (GCI), a U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) program designed to encourage U.S. private sector expertise towards the modernization of customs infrastructure in countries experiencing rapid economic and trade growth.
Who Should Attend? Representatives of U.S. companies that provide equipment or services in the transportation, cargo, security, scanning, and customs/trade industries should attend to share their expertise and to identify business opportunities with this key trading partner.
