U.S. – Turkey Smart Grid Technical Workshop
Partnering to Power the Future
Istanbul, Turkey - December 10, 2013
Ritz Carlton Hotel, Istanbul
About the Workshop:
Over the next 2 years, the 21 Turkish distribution companies are expected to invest $5 billion on new smart grid technologies. To highlight U.S. smart grid technology and bring U.S. and Turkish power stakeholders together for future project implementation, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in cooperation with the Association of Electricity Distribution Services (ELDER) is sponsoring a one-day technical workshop on December 10, 2013 at the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul. The workshop is a follow-on activity to the smart grid workshop USTDA and Elder organized in February 2013.
The workshop agenda will feature plenary sessions focused on U.S. smart grid deployment case studies and technologies in the morning and facilitated breakout sessions in the afternoon. The breakout sessions are designed to encourage U.S. – Turkish stakeholder discussion on key topics to address challenges and opportunities in the electric power sector in Turkey.
ELDER has invited its members -- representatives from the 21 Turkish distribution companies -- to participate in the workshop. Key Turkish government stakeholders will also attend. U.S. and Turkish private sector organizations providing products and services to the power sector are encouraged to attend to facilitate partnerships and future project implementation in Turkey.
MFM Lamey Group is organizing the workshop on behalf of USTDA. For more information please contact Pamela Peseux by e-mail at email@example.com or by phone at 1.202.347.2725 or toll free at 1.866.636.4729.
